Spring => Daffodils & Irrigation Begins

Ping-pong weather -- sun then snow then sun again -- is a sure sign of solid spring days to come! It's time to get your sprinkler system turned back on and ready to go. Be aware you may find some breaks in your zones if your system was put to bed incorrectly last fall. If too much pressure is applied to the sprinkler lines during the "blow out" then the sprinkler heads can be damaged and  the underground pipes can burst. On the other hand, if not enough air pressure was applied to the lines water could be left behind and the resulting freeze over winter will cause the lines to separate or crack. Leaks and blowouts are repairable but could be avoided if the "sprinkler blow out" hobbiest you employed last fall really had the proper technical knowledge. When your sprinkler system goes live this year and you notice extra wet spots during the sprinkling period then you likely have underground damage. If your sprinkler heads don't pop up all the way or don't properly hit the entire zone then repairs need to be made. Call Impact Excavating at 208-501-5057 for help with these repairs and tips on how to avoid future blow out damage.
